About this product
THE OUTCOME
Turn content chaos into a visible operation: every piece logged in one bank, automatic per-week and per-month planned-post counts per channel, each pillar's ten derivative slots tracked to completion, and your next pillar topic auto-ranked — so you always know what's next, what's unfinished, and what your best piece still owes you.
WHO IT'S FOR
Solo creators, newsletter writers, YouTubers, podcasters, and small teams publishing on multiple channels who want an organized content operation without project-management software.
THE PROBLEM
Most creators run on a treadmill: a new idea every day, a new post from scratch, and their best pieces dying after one publish. The result is burnout, not a body of work. Repurposing is the obvious answer — but without a system, "repurpose more" just means a sticky note you never look at again.
THE SOLUTION
Multiply gives you the system: one spreadsheet where every piece lives in a content bank, a calendar view counts what's planned per week and month per channel, a repurpose engine tracks each pillar's ten derivative slots to completion, an idea vault ranks your next pillar topics, and an optional metrics log rolls up your own numbers.
EXACTLY WHAT YOU GET (digital download, 4 files)
- Multiply-Content-System.xlsx — macro-free, works in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice:
- START HERE: the 5-step system (Pillar → Derivatives → Schedule → Publish → Track) and cell key
- CONTENT BANK: 100-row master list (title, pillar/derivative type, pillar link, channel, format, status, planned & published dates, URL, topic tag) with filters and dropdowns
- CALENDAR VIEW: formula-driven weekly summary (12 weeks) and monthly summary (12 months) — posts planned per week/month per channel, counted automatically from Planned dates
- REPURPOSE ENGINE: 20 pillar rows × 10 derivative slots with status dropdowns, per-pillar completion %, total derivatives done, average per pillar, and a "next unconverted pillar" helper
- IDEA VAULT: 30-row idea capture with 1-5 pillar-potential scoring and an auto-updating Top 5 table
- METRICS LOG (optional): engagement rates + monthly rollups by channel from your own logged numbers
- Multiply-Quick-Start-Guide.pdf — 30-minute setup, the weekly 45-minute planning ritual, repurposing map table, batching guidance, FAQ
- Multiply-Repurposing-Playbook.pdf — derivative recipes for video, article, podcast and newsletter pillars, quality guardrails, cadence examples
- README-license.txt — contents, formats, license
FEATURES → WHAT THEY DO FOR YOU
- Every count, percentage and rollup is a real formula — no manual tallying, no macros → change a date or status and the whole system updates itself.
- Blank rows never poison any count; add rows inside the tables and formulas pick them up → the system grows with your output instead of breaking.
- Sample data from the fictional creator "The Weekend Woodworker" shows the system working → delete it and make it yours; you see the mechanics before trusting them.
- Print-ready: every data sheet fits one landscape page → pin your week on the wall if you want.
- The "next unconverted pillar" helper → your repurposing backlog is always one glance, never a guilt-trip sticky note.
HOW IT WORKS
- Import the .xlsx into Google Sheets (File > Import) or open in Excel/LibreOffice
- Read START HERE, replace the sample rows with your content
- Set the week-1 start date and first month in CALENDAR VIEW
- Run the weekly 45-minute ritual from the Quick-Start Guide
IDEAL CUSTOMER — PICTURE THIS
A newsletter writer who publishes on two channels and has 40 drafts rotting in docs. After the 30-minute setup and two weekly rituals, she can see exactly which weeks are overloaded, which pillar still owes her six derivatives, and that her next big piece should be the top-scoring idea in the vault.
WHO IT IS NOT FOR
- Anyone expecting followers, engagement, or revenue from a spreadsheet — this is a planning and organization system; it makes no promises about audience growth, and results depend on your content, consistency, and the platforms.
- Creators who won't run the weekly 45-minute ritual — without maintenance, it's a static list; the value comes from the habit.
- Teams that need full project-management software — this is deliberately one spreadsheet, not a PM suite.
FORMATS
XLSX (macro-free) + 2 PDF guides + TXT readme. Works in Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice.
PREREQUISITES
Basic spreadsheet comfort (typing, sorting, dropdowns). No formulas knowledge needed.
LIMITATIONS
- This is a planning and organization system. It makes no promises about audience growth, followers, engagement or revenue — results depend on your content, your consistency and the platforms.
- Platform metrics are manual entries; the rollup only reflects what you log.
- The metrics log is optional — the calendar, repurposing and idea systems work with zero metrics.
DELIVERY
Instant digital download via Gumroad. Nothing physical ships.
LICENSE
Single-user license for your own creator business or personal use. No redistribution or resale.
FAQ
- Do I need Excel, or does it work in Google Sheets? Both — plus LibreOffice. Every formula uses functions available in all three; just import the .xlsx file.
- I'm starting from zero content. Is this still useful? Yes — start in the IDEA VAULT, score 10 ideas, and your first pillar is the top scorer.
- What if I only publish on 2 channels? Leave the other channel columns alone; counts for unused channels stay at zero and out of your way.
- Can I add more than 20 pillars or 100 bank rows? Yes — insert rows inside the tables; the formulas use full-column ranges and pick up new rows automatically.
- Do I have to fill all 10 derivative slots per pillar? No. Completion % is a planning signal, not a grade. If you consistently skip a slot type, repurpose that column for something you actually make.
